I always imagined what becoming a Mother would be like and always wanted a little girl. I knew it would involve great responsibility, patience, and most important of all love. I knew it would be a truly wonderful experience. However, I never imagined I would feel the way I did when I welcomed my beautiful daughter into the world.

On February 24, 2004 we welcomed our daughter into our lives. This web page is dedicated to our beautiful daughter who we can't imagine our lives without.

When I found out I was pregnant in July 2003, I was thrilled and we were even more thrilled to find out we were having a girl in October 2003. Although, of course, all I wanted was a healthy baby, it was such wonderful news to hear we were having a girl.

I never realized how much I could love a little baby until I had my daughter. And now, I can understand what my mother meant when she always said "Just wait till you have children someday, you will understand." Because now I do. I worry about her all the time and only want the best for her.

We chose her name because I have always liked the name Kathryn. Her middle name was chosen after my mother, Rose. She has always done a lot for me in my life and been a terrific mother, so I wanted to name my daughter after her.

I never knew that becoming a parent could be so rewarding. I watch my daughter and just cannot tell you what happiness it brings. If you are sad or upset, just look at her, and she takes all that sadness away.

She is now a 2 year old and growing up so fast. I look back at the baby pictures and remember what a joy she has been in my life. I simply cannot imagine my life without her. It is so hard to believe that my beautiful little baby is now a toddler and becoming such a big girl. I am completely amazed everyday the things she thinks of and how she learns.

Kathryn is a very smart little girl and is always on the go. She is always challenging you on things and I can tell she will definitely always be thinking about what she can do or get into next.

Kathryn loves our cat Socks. In fact, I adopted another cat in a way for her. Xena is not fond of Kathryn, but Socks loves to be petted and is not scared of Kathryn. Kathryn is always giving her kisses, in fact more then she gives us I think.

Kathryn has a cousin, Timothy Mark who was born on April 9, 2004. They were born only six weeks apart. Kathryn loves to give her cousin kisses. It will be really interesting watching them grow up together.
