Nicknames: JR., Jungle Cat

Hello there everyone! Thanks for stopping in. Here you will learn all about me, Junior!

I am quite a unique cat as you will read. There is no other cat around like me.

My mom (Rose) rescued me as a stray. I lived just down the street from her under some trees. One of my nicknames is the Jungle Cat because of where I was found. My mom saved my life. She took me in, fed me, and helped find all my brothers and sisters good homes. If it weren't for her, I don't know where I would be now. I am about 6 years old. Here is a picture of me as a kitten? Wasn't I cute?

Mom has had to put me on a diet because recently when I visited that awful vet, I weighed in at 18 lbs. I don't see what the big deal is, just more of me to love. So now, I ain't getting as much food as I am used to, but I always try to steal my brother's food with every chance I get.

Mom and dad (Phil) say I am very weird because of the strange things I do. But I just think I am more unique that way. They must love me like crazy because they are always taking pictures of me.

I am a very lovable cat and always need attention. Mom says that's why she kept me. And, when anybody picks me up, I go limp, just like a sack of potatoes, I'll just lay there and completely relax. Even the Vet told Mom that I am the easiest he has ever met.

Look at me, I am the master of balancing on top of bird cages. I know I don't look very comfortable, but trust me I am. And the bird you might ask? Well he usually just ignored me. It sure is a shame that Peaches passed away in 2003, because I sure do miss laying on top of his birdcage. That bird never cared that I was up there.

I used to play this game with my dad where I would knock my toy mouse underneath the kitchen stove. He would always get it out for me. But, lately, my fascination is the outdoors.

You see Dad started letting me out all the time to play outside. I don't roam far and love to eat the grass and watch all the little critters. It is my heaven. They get mad at me because I will constantly lay by the door and beg to go outside. I'll even fly out, the first chance I get. Hey, they started it. Here is a picture of me outside in fall 2005 on a beautiful day. They simply don't let me out enough. I'll even race them to the doors for any chance to get outside.

Mom says I love to plop on top of her in bed. I can't understand why she tosses me out sometimes. I love to snuggle up close and I need lots of space. She says she doesn't like it when I drape myself over her leg.

Mom and dad say I sleep in the most weirdest ways you could imagine. Here is a recent picture of one of my odd sleeping poses to the left. She has taken many other poses of me sleeping as well. You can see those other poses in My Photo Album. I am such a silly sleeper, that I am a contender of THE SILLY SLEEPING POSE OLYMPICS.

In this picture below you can see me sitting on a favorite place of mine that I love to play on. My brother and I play on here all the time.

It sure is nice to have a brother to play with as well. He sure does keep me busy. He is my adopted brother, but we get along GREAT! I outweigh him by a few pounds, he is no match for me. I could go on and on about myself. As you can see I am quite a handsome devil. And my face is so darn cute. My mom always said she loves my markings. I have this small white line on my back that she says represents a kitty handle. He he. I just think it makes me more unique.

A great place to lay and one of my favorites is on the end table in the living room. As you can see, I take up most of the table. Here I can keep an eye on things that are going on.
